Yeah, There's the Raping, but When Does the Pillaging Start?

IMPORTANT NOTE: per the governator of PA and his assistant with gigantism, masks are required to read this blog. While we will not check your vaccination status, we hope you have your paperz. If neccesary, we will have Dr. Oz verify your compliance.

Your love is like  polio

The SHTF in England, where the Queen's death has been officially blamed on Meghan Markle, and the people are revolting. Sorry, the people are revolting over the name Balmoral, insisting it be called something nice, like Smith, or Greenland,  or Bob.

Today I identify as  the Queen

So I'm plagued with Windows at work. Thusly I'm plagued by Google, in the form of Chrome. One of my coworkers warned me about an issue, wherein all of your bookmarks disappear. "My, that's inconvenient," I thought. Weeks later, my bookmarks disappeared. 'My, that's inconvenient' turned into other words, mostly with a four letter count. Following the instructions left by my coworker, I can positively state that the browser restarted. With the same complete lack of bookmarks. Again, I praised the operating system and browser, unsure of which caused the problem. Not that I had anything important to do, as I was at work. Going to Helpdesk was the option of last resort: I heard about people chewing their own fingers off rather than go to Helpdesk. Considering that Helpdesk provided the fix that didn't fix, I was even less enthused.

So I restored my bookmarks from my backup.

I'm feeling quite the hero today. If they knew, Helpdesk would respect the hell out of me too. Since it's Monday morning, I should probably coast the rest of the week.

England, further

People will die, but life goes on. The Queen's beloved corgis will be taken care of by Prince Andrew, the Queen's second son, and noted sex offender, in the Jeffrey Epstein case.

Seriously... corgis? Not any other breed, like... say.... cockers? A nice, regal chow?

In his 9-11 speech, Joe Biden mentioned the Queen's passing. He said that although they were a 'righteous band,' they must accept responsibility for 9-11.

Speaking of the Queen's passing, 100 year old Gwendolyn Hoare almost passed when she received a birthday telegram from the Queen herself, one day after Her Majesty passed. A large section of the UK calls this proof of life after death. A smaller section says only Her Majesty could have pulled this one off.  Meanwhile, Ms. Hoare is undergoing a full series of cardiac tests and hopes she doesn't receive any more telegrams from deceased royal-type persons.

Reactions on the Queen's passing are coming in fast and furious, with few  surprises:

  • She was always runnin round the planet. She'd go to china and bring us back some made-in-India toys. She was always forgetting our names - Harry and the other one
  • We haven't had relations in over 40 years  - Prince Philip, deceased
  • She didn't come to my wedding and signed me up for Welfare - Meghan Markle
  • I'm the king, you know  -  Charles
  • The Sistah's representin  - Biden/Harris - US Center for Diversity
  • Oh shit... who's running things now?  - Canada
  • When do we vote for a new one?  - Alabama, Kentucky, parts of Texas

Technology wasn't very advanced when Queen Elizabeth got throned. Seventy years later, Charles is more savvy. He wants to put England's best foot forward, along with its stiff upper lip, creating quite the show, anatomically. In that spirit, he is hiring Britain's best and brightest, its most lovely women, with perfect teeth, to participate in the parade.

Please don't tell him the parade's canceled. Just let him march.

Where did the internet come from? When students are asked that by an assistant professor of media studies at the University of Virginia, some mention ARPANET or Silicon Valley — and "no fewer than four students have simply written, 'Bill Gates....'"

I think this explains Biden giving away $10 grand on tuition each. It also explains why college isn't the best idea for everyone. Or anyone.
It's ok, Scooter... college isn't for everybody. Do you have any idea what a plumber makes? If you go into the trades, you don't even have to show up or answer customer calls.

Elon Musk drafted a short tweet to apologize for his lack of presence lately, as well as the lack of Tesla faults, up to and including full immolation. He promises to get back to the spotlight as soon as this Twitter nonsense has been put to bed and he buys Spain.

Speaking of banging starlets, somebody in the lefty household is embarking on a vacation. My best guess would be the other person in the household, not including the dog. I cannot vacation because the blog needs me. Remember the enforced vacation last December? I had to burn up my vacation days or I'd lose them. It did not go well, but at least it provided much blog fodder.

If you haven't read about this earlier, I instituted a new position called Vice Wife. If Joe Biden were unable to perform the duties of office, his vice president would take over. Some would say Biden was never able to perform, but let's not go there now. So I figured we'd inaugurate the position of vice wife, for when the regular wife was not able to perform the duties of her office. She snickered and asked what about a vice husband? I told her it's only fair. If I fail to perform the duties of my office. Go get one - he can mow the lawn. There's a duty of office I hate to perform. I'm good with all the other ones.

So I figure vacation is the time to install the vice wife (assuming we don't go on vacation together). Going on vacation together and installing the vice wife would potentially cause problems. Or, if vice wife is not an acceptable title, I'm amenable to having a babysitter. Naturally the main problem here is finding a candidate and having her accept the position. At least she doesn't have to get voted in, except by me (and potentially, Wife). How does one ask a particular female if she'd like to take the office of vice wife?

"Hi there. I need a vice wife for a week or so. Are you up to performing the duties of office?"

It won't be the first time a woman has looked at me nervously then run away.

You might be asking yourself why both leftys aren't going on vacation. Good question. I too believe that married people should vacation together. But imagine every step of the alleged vacation being painful. We start with a leisurely 10-12 hour drive to get there. A 2 hour drive to visit friends starts to get touchy, so 10-12 could get 'interesting.' My habit of falling asleep after 15 minutes in the car is sometimes a problem, especially if I drive. If When we arrive, it's a house with many bedrooms. Yes, it's a vacation! With other people! Because we all save up for a nice getaway where we can relax and enjoy ourselves. With 8 other couples. But hey, the fun doesn't end there.... no sir... the couples are all family! HER family! Can't you feel the love? The togetherness? The fighting? The money spent to hang out with in-laws? The ones where the guys watch sports and drink beer (neither of which I do).

Oh, wait, I forgot to mention this. It's at the beach! Whoo boy, do I like the beach. And when I say I like the beach, I mean I really can't stand the beach. Don't get me wrong, I like the sun. I just don't like being out in it. That's assuming there's any sun. We can run along the sand (burning our feet and tripping!). We can go into the water (why?). We can wear lovely bathing suits (have you seen these people in daily attire? Bathing suits contravene the Geneva Convention). The last time I wore a bathing suit, I made sure to wear a shirt, because I believe in being somewhat considerate to the general public.

Yes, an entire week of this goodness.

The relatives drinking beer. The infighting. The trying to look like I'm having a good time. The relatives trying to be nice to me, the Martian. The relatives finally giving up trying to be nice to me. Fun jaunts with random relatives to local points of interest (fast food and tourist shops). Communal dinners! Constantly remembering to smile!

When the entire fun week has ended, the tears start to flow. Tears of gratefulness. Tears of swearing we'll never do this again. Tears about driving 10-12 hours home. Tears hoping one of us remembered to board the dog. They said pets weren't allowed, so we were worried they wouldn't let me in the house.  But I guess, all in all, 10-12 hours in the car is a small price to pay, to get away from our 'vacation.'

I mean, seriously....... who asks their spouse to go on vacation with their family? Then gets upset that you don't think this is the best idea since chocolate? Am I the only crazy one around here?

And you're asking yourself how could I possibly miss this excursion? Why would I rather stay home, cook all my meals, do the wash, attend to the dog, and sleep a lot? Why would I rather mow the lawn? I could develop a new hobby, like self-injury. I could spend time with the new neighbors, whether they wanted to or not. I'd show up at their place around dinner time, hopefully with a pizza or two. You know how social I am. I could learn to play the guitar backwards (right handed). I don't have to figure out that much because I still have work. During 'vacation,' I'll be thanking heavens for work.  Who knows... maybe I'll put up daily updates. Sorry.

How many vacations end up in divorce? Just askin'.

Best Song Title

This ain't the planet I signed up for  - Jon Paris

If you're like me, you probably aren't really like me. That aside, I understand 'dark mode' is best on the computer screen because it's easier on the eyes. This also makes sense if you spend a lot of time staring at said screen. You can find a dark mode for your operating system and/or programs under it. Firefox has an addon called Dark Reader, which turns all or most pages to dark mode. You can play with the colors or exempt the page. I'm sure there are others for FF and other browsers. The browsers themselves have dark modes. Might be worth checking out, for your eyes. Also ask your eye doc - I have no idea what I'm doing, optometrically or anywhere else.

Speaking of the Moon, it's interesting to see where some of my readers come from. It's especially interesting when they're not from English-speaking countries. This week, the most hits came from Canada. This is exactly what I was talking aboot.

Is it because I haven't joked about Trudeau picking out a new, fashionable dress lately? Because I can really afford to alienate readers.

I'm paying some attention to the Alex Jones (2nd) trial over Sandy Hook. The more I see, the more confused I get. Mr. Jones is allowed to say pretty much what he wants, excluding inciting violence. He said Sandy Hook was fake. Sandy hook residents sued and won, to the tune of $40m plus. In paying very close attention, I still cannot understand how anybody won against Jones' First Amendment rights. At this point, the trial seems centered on whether or not Jones made money from this. Well, he is a business. If he said Texas (where he's from) didn't exist, could he be sued for that? Who has standing to sue? What damages did he cause?

Make no mistake, I feel for the people from Sandy Hook. They've been through a lot. But Jones didn't do anything suitworthy. Some of Jones' followers caused some problems, for which they should be punished, like harassment. Jones is not responsible for this. If there are any readers familiar with what laws Jones allegedly broke, please let the rest of us know.

I used to listen to Alex Jones every now and then. He's a great character. Some of what he says is truth. He predicted 9-11 and made Bilderberg a household name. As with anybody, you have to listen and figure out whether what you hear is true or false. However, radio and tv people should not be prosecuted for saying things that are perfectly legal.

Is it TIME?

Is it finally Time?

It might be.

I've been flamethrowering libertarian candidates for looking like mountain men or wearing large, bright yellow hats in official pictures. While I have a whirly-nerd cap, I am not running for anything (from is a different story). In order to play in Their playground, we have to look like them. Never thought I'd be saying this, but put on a suit and tie, dammit. Although you make more sense standing next to the Rs and the Ds, you don't look like you belong there.

I noticed the Governator's henchman, Fetterman, appearing and running in jeans and a hoodie. And he's way ahead in the polls. Quite frankly, he looks like some kind of arch villain, in a new comic book. But the fact the he gets away with it tells us people finally don't care, or that they don't care in general. Or they're laughing at Dr. Oz. Any or all of these could be true. Regardless, vote libertarian. At least look at their platform. The Governator, Fetterman, and Oz are all ass clowns. Voting the same as we always have has done nothing but make things worse. Time for a real version of Obama's change.

I'm a huge Joe Cocker fan (RIP) and I always have been, ever since I was little and found one of his albums in my mom's collection. As I'm listening to his Woodstock performance, I hear a bit of between song patter. It occurs to me that as difficult as he can be to understand when singing, speaking ain't much better.

Another great talent that we won't see more of.

Emmys: Squid Game's Lee Jung-jae is the first Asian to win best drama actor

Garbage. 2022 garbage.

Let's say I am an up and coming guitar player (I am). Let's say I'm an up and coming and getting noticed guitar player (I am not). Let's say I win a prestigious award (I haven't). Let's say the news item is lefty is the first Martian to win Best Up and Coming Guitarist. I'd be pretty upset. I spent a lot of time honing my craft. Hours and hours per day for years and years. I'm pretty proud of where I've gotten, but know there's still a long way to go. I would not be happy that the focus is on Martian instead of guitar talent. I'll bet the industry isn't upset. After all, being an oppressed minority is all we talk about. We actually want to bend rules to make it more fair for minorities, because those fat old white men win everything. It's the damn Patriarchy again.

If Lee Jung-jae won because he/she is a talented actor, let it be known.

Ironically, I don't give a rip about awards shows, where snotty folks spend all night patting themselves on the back and pretending to be happy for others who beat them out for the award.

A looted coin worth $1m was returned to Israel after a years-long hunt.

Truly a smart move. Israelis serve in the army and walk the streets with automatic weapons. And that's just the women.

My Service Aardvark Fills In When My Service Elephant Has Off

Your love is like a made-in-China enema kit

Every now and then I get shown a picture of someone from my past. This takes a circuitous path, especially if the picture came from Faceyspaces. I have 2 friends who send me stuff from Faceyspaces, because I don't have an account. It's like a remote Faceyspaces forwarding service. It also serves as a Faceyspaces Filter, as they only send me the important stuff, which is a picture every 6 years or so.

I hadn't heard the word cyberstalking, but I knew what it was. A friend stalked his ex-wife, another seemed to stalk his friends, and some of mine (I don't understand this.. you've read the blog - I'm not that interesting). Faceyspaces was initially referred to as a place to go to get looked up by people in your 1st grade class or the guy who taught you donkey riding when you were 8 (he always seemed needy, even though you didn't know what needy was either).

One of my forwarding people sent me pics of people in my old group (the guy who stalked my friends). It was only 50% frightening. One guy was standing there at his sink, missing only a towel for drying the dishes. The female singer... well... she had gone into weightlifting. Or houselifting. People like this sort of thing, mostly the lifters themselves, but I don't. I don't want a woman who can bench press me. If you bump into her in the middle of the night, either you'll bounce off, or she'll make you wish you were dead. It's a bad look for a singer too, unless you're Henry Rollins. Henry is very muscular, and when you pair it with the 'I'm going to kill you and eat your bones' look in his eyes, it sorta works. She, meanwhile, was pretty, and I emphasize the past tense. I'm not sure how you get dates looking like this, except maybe other female lifters, and she wasn't into that.

So it's good to have someone checking up on your past and sending you current pictures. Ok, it really isn't.

Today I identify as  Ed Sheeran. God, I hate myself.

Life is a learning process. By this I mean that I say stupid shit, and well-meaning people tell me that wasn't the right thing to say at that particular moment, to that particular person. I think it happened again today. The developers from a very large, international corporation asked how my team liked their new interface. All I said was "The interface designers all had some sort of interesting visual impairment." Even if no one tells me I goofed, total and complete silence is usually an indicator. Don't ever tell me I don't pick up on subtle cues.

My boss, bless him, was warned about me. He used to defuse bombs, so nothing rattles him. While this works greatly in my favor, if I'm having a particularly edgy day, and the potato chip clips on my balls aren't doing their job, sometimes I forget to 'play nice'. I figure I'll have this whole thing down sometime after retirement.

Retirement poses its own challenges, as do days off. Currently it's only a days off issue. I don't do well with vacation. I tried to get work to pay me for vacation days not taken, but they filed the idea with all my other ideas, in a special round file, near my personnel file. I told them if they insist I take days off, I'll just get into things, and do they want that on their conscience. They're still 'evaluating' my suggestion. We know I'm helpless around the house, and Mrs lefty is getting tired of my constant demands for boom boom, so she sends me out of the house. This is where the trouble starts. Whenever I'm separated from my couch, I don't know what to do with myself, so the Buying starts. Only I can never find anything I like, so it becomes an exercise in frustration. This is even worse during the holidays (which seem to come weekly at the mall). The only drinks available are at Starbucks, and I don't like Starbucks, so I have a habit of disposing of the drinks in 'interesting' ways. 3 story malls are interesting, but we shan't go there, on advice of my lawyer. I really don't like people, so malls can get tedious, especially around the holidays. We used to have a tradition of going to malls on Xmas eve, getting hot chocolate, and watching people run around like pure idiots, but even that has lost its luster with the Flying AIDS. I could go to the mall without a mask and try to get thrown out, but even that sounds boring. Or a mask that says FLYING AIDS on it. Everyone must be reading this blog because whenever I say Flying AIDS, they know exactly what I'm talking about, including doctors.

Upon further study, I just checked and I have damn near 7 hours to burn off or I lose them. 7 hours! I'm giddy with delight. I shall wake the Mrs and we can plan how to spend it. That's damn near a whole day!  I could start work, eat lunch, then take off the rest of the day, all without leaving the house. Unfortunately this leaves me back at being separated from my beloved couch. I can't bear to go shopping, even for guitars, with these stupid masks. It should be pretty funny at Guitar Center, where musicians, who are the rebels of society, pee their pants if somebody isn't wearing a mask.

And this, Your Honor, is why it's just best to leave me on the couch, with something to do.

  • The FAA cleared the Boeing 737 MAX for flight again.
  • Are you ready to fly on one?
  • Douglas Adams (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) refers to flying as 'throwing yourself at the ground and missing.' Let's hope the plane continues to miss.

In case you're interested, torrents available for download today are courses in Blender, R programming, The Long Kiss Goodnight, and something called I F'd My Step-daughter after Bowling Night. This sounds... errr.... umm... interesting. Of course I mean R programming. Blender is pure smut.

  • Scientists, via the New Horizons, discover space isn't pitch black after all
  • It's Pepto pink

But seriously, folks, there is a Jimi Hendrix movie coming out, called Live in Maui. I saw "Voodoo Child" from it and it was intense. The man was a guitar god and no one has surpassed him. If he were alive today, there's no telling what he'd be into, but it would be good.

Also out is more from the Zappa vault. The Mothers 1970 is a period I really like, with Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan on vocals (they used to be called The Turtles).

Dear lefty

  • What hurts more - thumb tacks or wood slivers under the fingernails?
  • Ok, you got me there-I have no idea. Why don't you stop by this weekend and we'll do the science

A massive hack by a state-funded Chinese hacking group hit companies around the world. You gotta admit, China has some solid steel balls. First it's Huawei, then the Flying AIDS, now hacking. They're making a good case for 'regime change' or nuclear test bed. Nah-let's send the CIA in to 'advise' the leaders.

Flying AIDS news

The CDC is pleading with Americans not to travel for Thanksgiving. They will have an employee in every airport, pleading with you personally. At the end of the day, the employee will fly home.

The CDC also warns against non-household members for turkey, and will station one staff member per block to knock down on doors to check.

Jumping on the bandwagon, a Fresno bishop urged Catholics not to 'jump on the vaccine bandwagon'. He has concerns about stem cells, referring to them as morally objectionable materials. Fresno Catholics have concerns about some of the priests' morally objectionable behavior, which is way down on the bishop's list of morally objectionable things.

At the last Bishops' Conference, it was decided that whenever someone mentioned child molestation, they would say "LOOK- STEM CELLS!"

A Los Angeles stay-at-home order might be issued. This could be very beneficial to the rest of the country, but not for the reason Idiot Governor proposed it. Many have suggested Los Angeles stay at home, especially around awards time.

In England, extensive tracking shows the Flying AIDS caught from supermarkets. The British are cautioned to avoid shopping for food.

There's always one: in Philly, a woman wrote #stopthespread and hung masks from her tree. The masks went overnight, but local officials couldn't bear to tell her hashtags don't work on trees.

There's always another one: Idiot Governor's Health Secretary insists masks be worn outside AND inside the house.  Banned are indoor gatherings, indoor dining, casinos, gyms, museums, and libraries. Idiot Governor said they have no intention of implementing another broad-based shutdown (aside from indoor gatherings, indoor dining, casinos, gyms, museums, and libraries). #ImpeachWolf.

A group of restaurant owners are suing Philly over the restrictions. Philly's immediate reaction was 'restrictions are temporary, death is permanent'. Rights are temporary, abusers are permanent. YOU voted these people in, Philly. #ImpeachKenny

  • if you have seborrhea (scalp itchies), you should probably not pronounce it 'gonorrhea,' especially to your mom or doctor. Don't ask.

That didn't take long?

The UK revealed its Space Force and some sort of AI agency.

Philly Mayor blames Flying AIDS, says Space Force has to stay home and wear masks.

Today in Los Angeles Superior Court, a class action suit was filed, claiming racism in the lack of news coverage of rock and roll one-on-one crime. Robert Plant says no one knows he shot Steven Tyler, Freddie Mercury's estate noted no coverage of his West vs East feud with Tom Petty, and to this day, no one knows how many of Scott Weiland's girlfriends were stolen by Kurt Cobain. Dave Grohl's machine-gunning of Pearl Jam at an awards show never got out, nor did Jimi Hendrix's ongoing theft of Janis Joplin's drugs, which she claimed was the reason she shot him. Plant said, "Yeah, everyone carried a piece. Hardly a car ride was had without a shooting."

The plaintiffs allege that no coverage was given to their violent, drug-filled feuds 'because we were white.' Reached at his satanic mansion, somewhere in the middle of England, Jimmy Page said, "Yeah, it wash like that. I mean.. the 70s were a time of great violence in Rock. Plus we didn't have stupid names like 'Stallion', 'Weekend Chance' or 'Bieber'. I would have died of embarrassment if my manager said to call me Jimmy Thee Mare. First of all, it's spelled wrong, then a mare is female, which nobody seems to question. It's obviously race-fuelled."

All attempts to reach Jimi Hendrix have been futile.

TV is awash with commercials for stuff with beets. If you take the stuff, you'll feel better, more mentally awake, and your nostrils will be larger. Over the years, scientists have worked with beets, and discovered that the problem with beets is that they taste like beets. Yes, they give you all the benefits, but they remain fully adamant in tasting like beets. One product attempted to circumvent this issue by telling you their product has a nice cherry flavor. Or sawdust.

Strangely enough, a beet product appeared in my kitchen. The other day I seriously needed a boost (and to be honest, a little bit of nostril enlargement) Bravely, I put on my armor and mixed it with 8oz (17km Canadian) of water. In addition to all my other areas of impairment, I cannot tell what 8oz of water is. Might be a coffee cup, might be a gas tank. I went for a happy medium - a beer barrel. Cautiously I put it near my mouth... I was already up one(!)-it didn't smell. With a true sense of false bravado, I put some in my mouth. This was my second mistake. OMG, this shit tastes like beets!  Apparently the brand that appeared did not have the good grace to taste like something else. Even broccoli would have been fine. Brussels sprouts. Dog poop. GOOD LORD - BEETS!

I called in my Head Purchaser, who seemed surprised, even though she purchased it. This is the same purchaser who knows not to let cranberry come within 6 miles of my turkey. She put on her lead apron and tasted it. I gathered, from her rapid trip to the bathroom and resulting noises, she wasn't fond of it either (and she likes beets). She said it would be better in yogurt.

The following morning we had the Scientists in to do the Science. It turns out only 0.00061% of people like beets, and none of them are in North America. Or Earth. In fact, even food banks will refuse beets, as not even the hungry will take them, so they sit there, growing an odd, green fuzz, which eventually evolves the power to speak. If you don't like the flavor, you don't want to hear what they have to say.

So I tentatively dropped a spoonful of beet powder into my yogurt, with the promise that the purchaser would eat it if I didn't like it. Ok, I'm game. First we did some Science, bending down and presenting the powder to the dog. The dog was thrilled, wagged her tail like mad, took one sniff, then walked away. Have you ever seen a lemon face on a dog? It's not pretty. The scientists were aghast. Bouyed by the dog's input, I tried the yogurt. Within a second, I had taken up my purchaser's offer to eat it if I didn't like it, and placed it near her. She hasn't eaten it and I think it's about to say something. I understand not being able to camouflage it in water, but yogurt? I think it refuses to mix with anything out of spite. So you get crunchy yogurt, which might as well be Whizzo Assortment's Crunchy Frog. Even Clorox bleach wouldn't get the taste out of my mouth. So the Emergency Room Special Stomach Squad is on Standby, as is SWAT.

Beating a Dead Politician

Whenever people see a ufo (unidentified - no idea what it is), out comes the Official Denial Squad; usually Seth Shostak (SETI), James Oberg from NASA, and if it's really big, Michael Shermer, head of Skeptic magazine. Although we have no idea what it was (hence unidentified), they already know what it was and that there was a stupidly normal explanation.

One of my favorite Official Denial Squad excuses as to why other species could not be visiting is that their planet would be so far away, they'd never get here. Call me stupid (you wouldn't be the first) but I'd think any civilization that's been around longer than us has some sort of more advanced drive and/or make use of wormholes (which we know about and have not denied).

I am not putting forth an opinion, rather discussing the need for serious investigation. Auto-Denial is not science or investigation.  The old Project Blue Book standby, swamp gas, no longer works to dismiss a sighting.

Let me remind you about the Phoenix Lights, seen by thousands, if not more. The weak denial claimed it was a flare drop (after the claim there were no military aircraft in the vicinity that day). This was a humongous object that hovered and flew slowly, over the 5th largest city in the US. It happened a few years earlier too. If it's ours, there would be simple denial. If it's not... what kind of panic ensued? These things are tracked by NORAD before they get to the US. Rest assured someone knew they were there, whatever they are.

Stephenville, Texas observed a huge craft and had many people reporting it.  Radar returns were obtained. The item of most import to me was that it flew over the Bush ranch before Stephenville. To say this was a no-fly zone is somewhat obvious. Yet was anything said? No. Were there F-15s scrambled? Not that we know. Do our craft hover? Not that we know of. They're also not a mile long, as was reported in Arizona. We are not going to know about very new military tech, so there's that.  Again, not a conclusion, just an appeal for sense.

By merely typing the above, I called into the universe the following action:

Nasa admits ‘tiny super-intelligent’ aliens may have ALREADY visited Earth – and says some UFO sightings ‘cannot be explained or denied’

Something's up.
Nah, the assertions in the article don't seem groundbreaking. He states that not all ufo sightings can be explained. Even the debunkers admit that a certain small percentage can't be explained. Still, worth a read.

I also called into the universe a science-y program called NASA's Unexplained Files last night. Remember the instances of red rain (not the Peter Gabriel song)? The most recent account is from India. Scientists studied the rain and couldn't determine what it was. Finally an Indian scientist (named Godfrey, I think) discovered it was made up of cells that were alive. Electron microscopy showed the cells to be without DNA, which is part of every living thing on earth. Theories were put forth and disproved until someone remembered there was a small asteroid strike shortly before the rain. Scientist got hold of a piece of asteroid and some red rain from the same field and discovered that the cells most likely hitched a ride inside the asteroid (and were obviously extremely hearty). We may have alien life. The cells reproduced rapidly and were not healthy for humans to touch. Interesting to ponder, no?

President Kennedy spoke at Rice University on September 12, 1962, uttering the famous words, in his famous regional accent, "We choose to go to the moon in this decADE and do the other things..."

History speaks reverently about this speech, yet nobody questions what 'the other things' are. It just sits there, a verbal sore thumb, that everyone prefers to forget they heard. I don't blame them - it was bloody JFK. The man has risen to Saint Status. But this is ThermionicEmissions, so we have no choice....

  • "We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do a threesome with my brother..."
  • "We choose to mount a trip to the moon in this decade and mount Marilyn Monroe..."
  • "We choose to go to the moon in this decade, because you never know when your time's up..."
  • "We choose to go to the moon in this decade, even if LBJ somehow becomes president [general laughter]..."

Speaking of which, I might not know what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want to be known by my initials when I die, like JFK, RFK, and LBJ. Also when I'm alive, to be known with a hip middle name, like Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Jimmie Lee Vaughan. Unfortunately I have to change my name, cuz lefty Marshall von Hendrix has no ring of authenticity to it.

  • Walmart is getting set to deploy robot floor-moppers. Perhaps because they can't hire employees bright enough to perform this task at $5.50 per hour. Whether it will dress inappropriately or not hasn't been discussed.
  • The unforeseen consequence will be insurance rates rising because of old people running their carts into it.

We all knew it was going to happen but we're still surprised it did: The US Military is genetically engineering new life forms to detect submarines. To quote someone or other, "this is some sick shit". The life forms are a cooperative project between Captain Mengele, the military, and Microsoft, so no matter what happens, the NSA and China will have access to it. It will also be the first life form that must be rebooted every week. As technically libertarian as I am, they crossed a boundary.

  • I'm a Beth Hart fan. Even critics are Beth Hart fans. You should be a Beth Hart fan too. I don't want to be the one to bring this up, but the lady has a bit of a vibrato problem, like Chrissie Hynde. Don't let that discourage you - give her a listen. Quality..umm... soulful rock (?)

UNIVERSITY YUCKS

San Diego State University is hosting a 'critical look at whiteness' forum.
Some student assertions:

The Christian cartoon “VeggieTales” is racist because the villains are vegetables of color. The NFL is racist since most players are black and most coaches and owners are white. White women advance white supremacy when they support President Donald Trump.

Immediately following, there will be a 'critical look at blackness' forum.
Some student assertions:  none.. this is the university. They can't find anyone to say anything. Furthermore, the students will firebomb this gathering.

The Christian cartoon "VeggieTales" is racist because not every character is black. The NFL is racist because most of the money goes to the crackers. Black women advance black supremacy when they support Barack Obama.

Please stop.
This was really entertaining when you started. You're now parodies of yourselves.

Again, history will look back on us quizically, with tears in its eyes.

  • If only Klinger knew: 27% of the young are too overweight for the military

The fellow(?) who had a Craigslist ad for no strings sex with a housewife, turned out to be a cross-dresser, recorded the 80(!) trysts, and sold them to adult websites. He was just sentenced to a year above the maximum for the crime.  He is very sorry (he got caught) and has had a lot of time to consider his actions (in jail). He is deeply penitent and will return the money to all the men who thought he was a chick (just kidding, he still has the money).

There's just so much going on here... let's start by saying I've never been with a cross-dresser. No, really. She was just a friend. We never played Hide the Salami - I swear. Given that, wouldn't you figure there might be a difference or two between a woman and a man dressing as a woman? Well, first there's the penis. You never find these on women. Well, butt sex is nice and men are stupid, but.... Then there's the facial hair. Sure, some women have facial hair. But it doesn't look like 5:00 shadow facial hair. You don't get rug burn from a blowjob.

Men love breasts. Everybody loves breasts. This guy would be down by two (at very least). Were there copies of Modern Sperm all over the house? Modern Bride? Sports Illustrated (non model issue)? Was there a huge, red Craftsman tool chest in the kitchen? Tampons? A bathroom stuffed so full of cosmetics that he needed another bathroom? Look around, people!

UPDATE: further investigation (I read the words I didn't read the first time) shows that the sex was oral and the 'johns' wore glasses or other eye covering.
(Still... 5:00 shadow)

VACATION

I'm a bit slow. We know this.
I decided to not pay attention to the Kavanaugh/Supreme Court Circus.
To my surprise, the Circus still went on, as did Life in General.
Hey - this is a real Find! Wonder what will happen if I apply this elsewhere...
Particularly soul-sucking is the nonstop barrage of politics on social media. You'd think it would stop after the elections. You were oh so wrong.
So I took a Social Media Vacation, followed by a Social Media Political Vacation. No one is going to change their political views when you argue with them, nor will they change their religious views. Let's just talk about sex and hobbies, ok?

The world continued, without me watching it or participating. I lost nothing. In fact, I felt better. Might work for you too...
