Butt Plugs of the Rich and Famous

Your love is like  intestines hanging out an inconvenient hole in your stomach

This week's best headline: Young Scandinavians Are Sticking Nicotine Pouches Up Their Asses
Also on their foreskins.
This is so mind-bogglingly stupid that it will only take days til it hits social media and colleges will be filled with cancerous students.

Sir, we're going to have to amputate your penis.
But Doc, how will I smoke?

Sorry, Sir, you have butt cancer. You'll have to stick those pouches up your nose instead. Or maybe even in your mouth.

Today I identify as  arm hair

GODDAMMIT - best of health to a reader with the Flying AIDS

One of the biggest causes of divorce, after shootings, is lack of communication.

I'm told one of the largest communication issues is pronouns:

HER: And we went to the store with her.

HIM: Which her?

Then there's the "Why don't you know what I mean?"

HER: I went to the place with the thing.

HIM: The thing?

HER: The thing. You know.. the thingy thing.

Then there's US. While our problems include the above, they also have a component that cannot be identified, other than to say "What I say is not what she hears."

What I say: "Good morning."

What she hears: "Why didn't you scrub the bathroom tiles with a toothbrush?"

What I say: "It would be a good idea to deal with that issue."

What she hears: "This many years of therapy and you have nothing to show for it. I don't like your family."

What I say: "I ate the last piece of the cheesecake."

What she hears: "You ate 2 cheesecakes, a couple boxes of Tastykakes, and a case of Coke. That's why you're so fat. That dress doesn't make you look fat - you make that dress look fat."

Granted, a large part of the miscommunication deals with Catholic guilt and General Abuse. But there are some exchanges....

What I say: "215-444-9372"

What she hears: "449-444...."

What I say: "Perhaps we should cut back on our non-essential spending."

What she hears: "Here you go, spending all our money on crap. You're trying to bankrupt us and I won't be able to retire til I'm 87."

-or-

What I say: "I like the solid gold swing set in the back yard."

What she hears: "I don't like the way you treat me. And the car needs to be vacuumed."

US Congress ponders setting up permanent UFO investigation office

[singsong child's voice] We're being bushwacked, we're being bushwacked.

This is so wrong, plus it's going to cost us via Congressional appropriations to run the office.
I have been screaming from the rooftops that we're being diversioned. [I just made that word up]
We have been studying UFO/UAPs since at least 1941. The group is top secret compartmentalized. Any wreckage goes to Wright Patterson AFB in Ohio. Find out who runs this project and you'll have all the answers we have to the UFO/UAP phenomena. This goes way above the president.

A public group is merely hocus pocus to pull attention away from the real procedures and the real knowledge. The new group will be ignorant of 80 years of knowledge, and likely impotent or purely for show.

The Flying AIDS Hits Gilligan's Island

Dawn Wells (Maryanne) died of the Flying AIDS. Only Tina Louise remains.

Your love is like a splenectomy

The Flying AIDS is affecting us in other ways. The local Hallmark store has precious little inventory. They had to order less because of less traffic and they didn't want to get stuck with inventory they had to discount.

The supermarket is pretty empty too, because they are having trouble getting food trucked in, because of a driver shortage.

Collateral damage of the Flying AIDS, and this is only 2 local businesses. The bright spot is that there are jobs. As I said the other day, healthcare is buzzing, especially home healthcare. Truck drivers. Fast food, convenience stores... I drive by many HELP WANTED signs. Go for truck driver first - we're all out of ice cream.

A 3rd vaccine has been released. No, it's not as effective as the first 2, but it's called 'vaccine', and people will put any old shit into their arms. Except in an Ohio nursing home, where 60% of staff has refused it.

A 2nd patient has died after the vaccine, but doctors 'do not believe the deaths were connected to the vaccines.' Besides - they were in their 70s and 80s and were going to die anyway. It was just incredibly coincidental they died, that's all. Nothing to see here, people, go home.

Congressman-elect Luke Letkow, from Louisiana, died of 'heart complications'  from the Flying AIDS. For the non-medical people out there, his heart 'stopped beating.'

Los Angeles is launching a digital iPhone receipt for Flying AIDS vaccinations, which could well become a passport. Nothing was mentioned about androids, but this is understandable in LA, where one must have an iDevice to get into the city. "It's so much snottier than that other one" - Gwyneth Paltrow "We wouldn't be seen without ours" - anybody named Kardashian. "I can't even turn it on" - Alec Baldwin

2/3 Americans don't care if digital devices are recording them. More than 2/3 Americans are idiots, but in this case, it's just 2/3. Children are growing up without the expectation of privacy and it's a bit unnerving. Teach your children well.

In Manhattan, a man with a cane tried to rob a bank. He got away in his wheelchair. Police are looking for him.

Sorry, Captain, he got away.

What was he driving?

A whe.....[mumblle]

Sorry?

A wheelchair, Sir.

A wheelchair?

Yes Sir, a wheelchair.

Let me see if I understand this: a man with a cane tried to rob a bank and got away on a wheelchair. Is that correct?

Yes Sir.

Did he have a gun?

Just a cane, Sir

Knife?

Just a cane, Sir.

Was the cane sharpened to a dangerous point?

No Sir, just your regular cane with a rubber bottom.

Let me guess: everybody, including the security guards, was paralyzed with fear.

This is New York, Sir. Everybody ignored it and the guards held the door open for him because they were afraid of not being wheelchair accessible.

Was it a souped up wheelchair?

The video shows it was kind of broken down, Sir.

Did he have a getaway van right outside?

There was no vehicle - he just slowly wheeled himself off, Sir.

So you're telling me that a police force the size of an entire city cannot locate an old guy in a wheelchair. If we don't put a stop to this, mothers wheeling babies will start robbing banks. Paralyzed patients on gurneys. Kindergarten field trips. Old ladies after church. Trained cats. Do you see where I'm coming from? What am I going to tell the mayor?

We'll get him, Sir, I'm confident.

And from where comes this sudden confidence?

The old guy wasn't wearing a mask or social distancing. It's only a matter of time til some old lady beats the living daylights out of him.

I have confidence that the mayor will rest easier, knowing this information.

Today I identify as Wonder Woman. If you can't see my breasts, you're misgendering me.

I got my daily email from the USPS, telling me my package will be late, but it's definitely still 'in the mail' and on the way to the next facility. That's all they got.

  • by April 2020, the adoption rates for dogs in the US increased by more than 30%.

Speaking of home healthcare, after my mother's aide tested positive for the Flying AIDS, it took her company a solid week to send a replacement. Obviously they had their best people on it. And speaking of best people, on her 2nd day, this aide was caught napping.

A year after Microsoft ended all support for Win 7, millions of users are still not upgrading

(Downgrading)

This is a tricky problem. These people will be the first with the torches and pitchforks when something bad happens. It's not like they weren't warned: Microsoft clearly communicated an End of Life date (look at me, defending Microsoft). On the other hand, who would want to upgrade to the monster that is Win 10? The advertising platform where you rent software. The spyware Swiss cheese operating system.

I'm honest... we all know I use linux, but I have to keep a spare virtual machine around, for times when companies won't let me use my chosen operating system. It's Win 7. I'm just not going to expose myself to Win 10. I very rarely have to use Windows, it's kept patched and safe as I can. Turbo Tax has no linux version and never will. Although it will run on Win 10, I won't. Keep in mind, Microsoft will not release any updates, unless there's a large emergency. There are also a bunch of people using Win XP(!). Hopefully they're not connecting it to the internet.

New Years Eve celebrations were a bit of a dud, thanks to Regulations.

Wanna see the ball drop? Not in-person. Plus the ball had to wear a mask. The hidden benefit was not having to be in New York.

Wanna have a party? Cities were sending huge police forces out to deal with parties (because there wasn't going to be any crime that night).

Wanna go to a bar? Hahahahahaha. Idiot Governor and/or Idiot Mayor said no indoor dining, plus masks and social distancing if you were 'dining' outside.

Wanna sit with your spouse, some champagne, and watch it on tv? Ok, but not the kids or pets. Your tv will tell on you.

The NYPD was deployed, with bomb-sniffing dogs and people-sniffing ferrets, to make sure no one could see the ball drop in person. The mayor said, "Look - I've killed your fun for the whole year - why stop now? And the first person with a 32oz soda gets the death penalty."

There is a lot of opposition to President Trump's $2,000 check plan. This time it's from England, which keeps referring to them as cheques.

The Nashville bombing suspect hunted lizard people in a local park, believing that these Draconians were shape-shifters and bent on taking over the world. He claimed Justin Bieber and the Obamas were lizards.

Think about it - this guy makes more sense than most of the candidates in the last election. He just needed to add the royal family. And everybody knows you don't hunt for them in the local park... you go online or turn on the tv. Trump is not part of the lizard faction - he's a little weird and the aliens wouldn't let him join, but this answers the question about Hillary's large pants suits (to hide her tail).

Every year I list some of the people who died. This is probably a sign of some mental illness, but here goes:

  • Terry Jones - Monty Python
  • Neil Peart - Rush
  • Kirk Douglas
  • Bill Withers - "Use Me"
  • Little Richard
  • Carl Reiner
  • Charlie Daniels
  • Peter Green - Fleetwood Mac co-founder
  • Sir Sean Connery
  • Conchata Ferrell - 2.5 Men
  • Eddie Van Halen
  • Alex Trebek
  • Dawn Wells - Gilligan's Island
  • Lyle Mays - Pat Metheny and solo
  • Kenny Rogers
  • Leslie West - "Mississippi Queen"
  • Spencer Davis - "Gimme Some Lovin"

The Department of Homeland Security has ordered federal agencies to update SolarWinds Orion platform. Because which agencies are too stupid to do it themselves? Because federal agencies want to keep this piece of garbage around?

  • I make this pledge to you: if I open YouTube and recognize anything on the front page, I'll start putting out rap records.

The Vatican announced that Pope Francis will not be attending the New Year's Eve or New Year's Day traditional events, due to "painful sciatica." In ancient Latin, painful sciatica translates to "I'm not going out there and getting the Flying AIDS. Just send me a little boy and I'll stay in."

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's father is applying for French citizenship. This must be terribly embarrassing for the PM, unless his father is applying for both of them. I wonder what the procedure is to get French citizenship....

Repeat after me:

You English pig-dogs
Americans are savages - we shall not speak of them
I don't have time for your silly questions
Of course our food is better
When they say Gay Paree, they are not kidding
No, I don't speak English
Of course I wash

I confer upon you, French citizenship. Now take this ribbon and go be rude to somebody.

Rabies and the Perfect Ring

Your love is like  that new untreatable strain of gonorrhea

Yes, welcome to the (sloppily arranged, last minute) annual ThermionicEmissions Christmas issue (that started this year).

Apoplectic because nobody's listening to him, Dr Anthony Fauci had a screaming meltdown on national tv (have you ever seen a sign language translator translate a meltdown?), re-stating that no one should travel this holiday. Last year, 90 million people traveled. This year it's down to 88 million, but Fauci feels unheard and unheeded. As a result, all cars can have no more than one person in them, preferably the driver. Cars and trucks will be inspected coming into and leaving the states. If found to have more than 1 occupant, they will be removed from the vehicle, forced to pay a Fauci Tax, and held in Non-Compliant Flying AIDS Transportation camps, until their party returns. Responding to the accusation that these camps are nothing but forced labor, Fauci said "It's not hard labor - they're just helping build my summer homes. The children only do cleaning, no construction work."

In other holiday news, a public transportation bus in Philadelphia saved some cars by intercepting 5 bullets. Nobody was hurt.

This is the time of year Philly Police dress as Santa and give children presents. Many thought the tradition was stopped last year after Santa and his protection detail was mowed down by automatic weapons fire while riding a bus. Philadelphia will be the first city, after Detroit, to dress their police Santas in Kevlar vests. Police Commissioner Outlaw (that's her name) commented "Ha, yeah, you can't keep those children from getting excited when Santa and automatic weapons are in season."

Delivery marches on, or rather, delivery stops dead and has no idea where it is.

The package that went out 2 weeks ago, from 1 state north, will arrive, I am assured by the US Postal Service. It will be late.  No, you're kidding me. 2weeks+ to go 1 state. That's literally a trip across the country and back (not that we have any idea where it is now).  We don't know where it is, but it will be late - the USPS.

The one halfway across the country, at 2 weeks out, is supposed to arrive yesterday. Supposed to. The USPS is late for being late.

I'm sorry - I'm a little bitchy today because something ate my xmas gifts and it's my time of the day.

They tell me I have to learn patience. They've been telling me this for many many years, yet they still tell me this. Maybe they need to learn to stop telling me to learn patience.

Let's trace a package:

Dec 8 - label printed

Dec 9 - USPS got its grubby little hands on it

Dec 10-22  - it's in the system

New York to PA

Dec 8 - USPS is touching the box

Dec 9 - at USPS facility in Batman, NY.

Dec 10 - leaving Batman, NY

Dec 11 - at Plant City, FL facility

Dec 12 - somewhere. It will be late, but it's definitely somewhere.

Dec 13-20 - Maui, Hawaii facility. Wouldn't you stay for a while too? Maui Wowie, man!

Dec 21 - Portland, Oregon, telling BLM that antifa dissed their mother

Dec 22 - Intercourse, PA facility. Finally in the right state.

Dec 23 - Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH. Partying with aliens.

Dec 24 - Blue Ball, PA facility.

Dec 25 - It's Christmas, man. Do you expect us to work on Christmas? Or other days ending in -day?

Dec 26 - Batman, NY. Returned to sender because postman got TO and FROM mixed up.

Dec 27 - Picked up. Again. Note to recipient: it will be late, but at least we know where it is this time.

Dec 28 - South Dakota facility, because if you ever complain about your weather again...

Dec 29 - St Raul, Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes; each one of which package has been dropped in.

Dec 30 - deliver to 1234 Main St, PA. Postman can't find 1234 because he's on the wrong side of the street, return to sender.

Hey... I smell the beginnings of a brand new conspiracy theory.

The USPS is wrong nearly 100% of the time. Who else is wrong nearly 100% of the time? Weather forecasters. Coincidence? I think not.

Today I identify as  Jewish. HEY - WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY THING....??

Idiot Mayor hath decreed the restrictions will continue until late January.

Thou shalt not dine indoors, whether in a restaurant or your home, excepting that the number of diners in your home does not exceedeth 3. If thou shalt eat outdoors, the number of diners shall not exceed 4 from the same household. Thou shalt not dine outdoors without a permit or within 20' of a waiter.

Thou shalt not celebrate holidays, including in-person or on Skype, lesteth the Guardians of the State breaketh down thy door, and haul thee to the Flying AIDS Detention Center. Unless thou art an illegal alien, in which case thou shalt doeth whatever thou wanteth.

Thou shalt not purchase hoagies, steak sandwiches, dirty soft pretzels, or any other handmade food, lest the Department of SWAT visit and confiscate whatever looketh good, seeing they have not had lunch today.

HEY, HOW'S YER MOM?

For those of you playing along at home, my mother's aide tested positive for the Flying AIDS. The primary doc said only test the old, frail lady if she shows symptoms. But... a pharmacy is offering testing! Make an appointment and go! Yay! I am already more effective than her primary doctor! Many first graders are already more effective than her primary doctor.

Show up at pharmacy, making sure to have Mom along, Shotmaster asks regular or rapid test.

STOP. HALT. CEASE. Deploy Confused Face.

If you want rapid test, you have to cancel today and reschedule for later or tomorrow.

That's nice. Gee, it sure woulda been swell if I knew this.

Go online to reschedule: not a single appointment available for the next few days at any location.

Merry Xmas.

Hey - let's check the city website. They have sites! They require registration! They don't tell you how to register! Then you need an account, but they don't do antibody testing. WTF is antibody testing? Is it rapid or slow? Does she need to lay off the whiskey for 24 hours before the test? The next page has all sorts of local services, such as condoms and pregnant woman mosquito advice. I'm thinking if you used condoms, you wouldn't be needing the mosquito advice (unless mosquitos can bite through condoms - this is just more shit we're expected to know).

So it's 9am and there is a 2 mile line of old ladies and hypochondriacs (and old lady hypochondriacs). They're signing up, talking about their kids, and complaining that it's taking so long and why aren't they serving sandwiches. It's a self-service test, so now the line is 4 miles (8 miles with social distancing). Most of the old ladies are wearing masks that don't cover their noses, so if you don't have the Flying AIDS when you get there, you'll have it by the time you get home.

This just goes to show that masks and testing are irrelevant.

 Let's Visit the North Pole

Santa Claus and his old lady - Cheech and Chong

So it's 2020, the Flying AIDS has hit the North Pole, and the elves are getting a little itchy. A particularly ugly elf from Portland Antifa came to visit. After a week, the rest of the elves were talking about unionizing, then tried to burn down the workshop, before issuing their demands

  • Santa declared the oppressor, his assets go to the elves
  • if they see 1 more candy cane, the building goes up
  • the Fat Guy has to pay overtime even when they don't work
  • Mrs Claus can no longer visit the production floor: that woman is like Yoko
  • more elves of color
  • special dorms for LGBTQ* elves
  • gambling counselors for the reindeer
  • Mrs Claus must confine her pole dancing to the bedroom
  • Black Lives Matter wrapping paper on all gifts
  • no more Mariah Carey specials from the Pole
  • a non-gendered Santa

Meanwhile, Santa got some new electronic devices to watch you so he knows if you've been good or bad. It's hush-hush stuff from the NSA and uses a lot of AI. More cannot be said due to Non-Disclosure Agreements. The sleigh got some new guts, courtesy of the aliens, and runs on batteries from Elon Musk. Santa said all in all, the aliens were ok, but Elon Musk scared him.

Rudolph was replaced with an off-the-shelf GPS and has spent the last year in therapy, after the 'guiding the commercial airliners to Somalia' incident. Although the drug companies can produce a Flying AIDS vaccine in 10 months, they can't get reindeer antidepressant right after 10 years.

The North Pole City Council smoked a lot of dope and hasn't been dealing with the occupation situation well. There might be a slight delay in Christmas this year, kids. Look on the bright side - they're not using the US Postal Service to deliver the presents.

  • Overheard at (illegal) family gathering: Why do I have a planter attached to me?

Let's smile a bit. Please.
Peter Cook and Dudley Moore - a bit of a chat, the Frog and Peach
Groucho Marx - I'm against it
Monty Python - Biggus Dickus, French taunting
some Airplane

In closing, I give you the words of Bob Dylan: Once upon a time you dressed so fine threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't yewwww?
No, I never understood Bob Dylan either - I'm just a dumb guitar player.

My Service Aardvark Fills In When My Service Elephant Has Off

Your love is like a made-in-China enema kit

Every now and then I get shown a picture of someone from my past. This takes a circuitous path, especially if the picture came from Faceyspaces. I have 2 friends who send me stuff from Faceyspaces, because I don't have an account. It's like a remote Faceyspaces forwarding service. It also serves as a Faceyspaces Filter, as they only send me the important stuff, which is a picture every 6 years or so.

I hadn't heard the word cyberstalking, but I knew what it was. A friend stalked his ex-wife, another seemed to stalk his friends, and some of mine (I don't understand this.. you've read the blog - I'm not that interesting). Faceyspaces was initially referred to as a place to go to get looked up by people in your 1st grade class or the guy who taught you donkey riding when you were 8 (he always seemed needy, even though you didn't know what needy was either).

One of my forwarding people sent me pics of people in my old group (the guy who stalked my friends). It was only 50% frightening. One guy was standing there at his sink, missing only a towel for drying the dishes. The female singer... well... she had gone into weightlifting. Or houselifting. People like this sort of thing, mostly the lifters themselves, but I don't. I don't want a woman who can bench press me. If you bump into her in the middle of the night, either you'll bounce off, or she'll make you wish you were dead. It's a bad look for a singer too, unless you're Henry Rollins. Henry is very muscular, and when you pair it with the 'I'm going to kill you and eat your bones' look in his eyes, it sorta works. She, meanwhile, was pretty, and I emphasize the past tense. I'm not sure how you get dates looking like this, except maybe other female lifters, and she wasn't into that.

So it's good to have someone checking up on your past and sending you current pictures. Ok, it really isn't.

Today I identify as  Ed Sheeran. God, I hate myself.

Life is a learning process. By this I mean that I say stupid shit, and well-meaning people tell me that wasn't the right thing to say at that particular moment, to that particular person. I think it happened again today. The developers from a very large, international corporation asked how my team liked their new interface. All I said was "The interface designers all had some sort of interesting visual impairment." Even if no one tells me I goofed, total and complete silence is usually an indicator. Don't ever tell me I don't pick up on subtle cues.

My boss, bless him, was warned about me. He used to defuse bombs, so nothing rattles him. While this works greatly in my favor, if I'm having a particularly edgy day, and the potato chip clips on my balls aren't doing their job, sometimes I forget to 'play nice'. I figure I'll have this whole thing down sometime after retirement.

Retirement poses its own challenges, as do days off. Currently it's only a days off issue. I don't do well with vacation. I tried to get work to pay me for vacation days not taken, but they filed the idea with all my other ideas, in a special round file, near my personnel file. I told them if they insist I take days off, I'll just get into things, and do they want that on their conscience. They're still 'evaluating' my suggestion. We know I'm helpless around the house, and Mrs lefty is getting tired of my constant demands for boom boom, so she sends me out of the house. This is where the trouble starts. Whenever I'm separated from my couch, I don't know what to do with myself, so the Buying starts. Only I can never find anything I like, so it becomes an exercise in frustration. This is even worse during the holidays (which seem to come weekly at the mall). The only drinks available are at Starbucks, and I don't like Starbucks, so I have a habit of disposing of the drinks in 'interesting' ways. 3 story malls are interesting, but we shan't go there, on advice of my lawyer. I really don't like people, so malls can get tedious, especially around the holidays. We used to have a tradition of going to malls on Xmas eve, getting hot chocolate, and watching people run around like pure idiots, but even that has lost its luster with the Flying AIDS. I could go to the mall without a mask and try to get thrown out, but even that sounds boring. Or a mask that says FLYING AIDS on it. Everyone must be reading this blog because whenever I say Flying AIDS, they know exactly what I'm talking about, including doctors.

Upon further study, I just checked and I have damn near 7 hours to burn off or I lose them. 7 hours! I'm giddy with delight. I shall wake the Mrs and we can plan how to spend it. That's damn near a whole day!  I could start work, eat lunch, then take off the rest of the day, all without leaving the house. Unfortunately this leaves me back at being separated from my beloved couch. I can't bear to go shopping, even for guitars, with these stupid masks. It should be pretty funny at Guitar Center, where musicians, who are the rebels of society, pee their pants if somebody isn't wearing a mask.

And this, Your Honor, is why it's just best to leave me on the couch, with something to do.

  • The FAA cleared the Boeing 737 MAX for flight again.
  • Are you ready to fly on one?
  • Douglas Adams (Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) refers to flying as 'throwing yourself at the ground and missing.' Let's hope the plane continues to miss.

In case you're interested, torrents available for download today are courses in Blender, R programming, The Long Kiss Goodnight, and something called I F'd My Step-daughter after Bowling Night. This sounds... errr.... umm... interesting. Of course I mean R programming. Blender is pure smut.

But seriously, folks, there is a Jimi Hendrix movie coming out, called Live in Maui. I saw "Voodoo Child" from it and it was intense. The man was a guitar god and no one has surpassed him. If he were alive today, there's no telling what he'd be into, but it would be good.

Also out is more from the Zappa vault. The Mothers 1970 is a period I really like, with Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan on vocals (they used to be called The Turtles).

A massive hack by a state-funded Chinese hacking group hit companies around the world. You gotta admit, China has some solid steel balls. First it's Huawei, then the Flying AIDS, now hacking. They're making a good case for 'regime change' or nuclear test bed. Nah-let's send the CIA in to 'advise' the leaders.

Flying AIDS news

The CDC is pleading with Americans not to travel for Thanksgiving. They will have an employee in every airport, pleading with you personally. At the end of the day, the employee will fly home.

The CDC also warns against non-household members for turkey, and will station one staff member per block to knock down on doors to check.

Jumping on the bandwagon, a Fresno bishop urged Catholics not to 'jump on the vaccine bandwagon'. He has concerns about stem cells, referring to them as morally objectionable materials. Fresno Catholics have concerns about some of the priests' morally objectionable behavior, which is way down on the bishop's list of morally objectionable things.

At the last Bishops' Conference, it was decided that whenever someone mentioned child molestation, they would say "LOOK- STEM CELLS!"

A Los Angeles stay-at-home order might be issued. This could be very beneficial to the rest of the country, but not for the reason Idiot Governor proposed it. Many have suggested Los Angeles stay at home, especially around awards time.

In England, extensive tracking shows the Flying AIDS caught from supermarkets. The British are cautioned to avoid shopping for food.

There's always one: in Philly, a woman wrote #stopthespread and hung masks from her tree. The masks went overnight, but local officials couldn't bear to tell her hashtags don't work on trees.

There's always another one: Idiot Governor's Health Secretary insists masks be worn outside AND inside the house.  Banned are indoor gatherings, indoor dining, casinos, gyms, museums, and libraries. Idiot Governor said they have no intention of implementing another broad-based shutdown (aside from indoor gatherings, indoor dining, casinos, gyms, museums, and libraries). #ImpeachWolf.

A group of restaurant owners are suing Philly over the restrictions. Philly's immediate reaction was 'restrictions are temporary, death is permanent'. Rights are temporary, abusers are permanent. YOU voted these people in, Philly. #ImpeachKenny

That didn't take long?

The UK revealed its Space Force and some sort of AI agency.

Philly Mayor blames Flying AIDS, says Space Force has to stay home and wear masks.

Today in Los Angeles Superior Court, a class action suit was filed, claiming racism in the lack of news coverage of rock and roll one-on-one crime. Robert Plant says no one knows he shot Steven Tyler, Freddie Mercury's estate noted no coverage of his West vs East feud with Tom Petty, and to this day, no one knows how many of Scott Weiland's girlfriends were stolen by Kurt Cobain. Dave Grohl's machine-gunning of Pearl Jam at an awards show never got out, nor did Jimi Hendrix's ongoing theft of Janis Joplin's drugs, which she claimed was the reason she shot him. Plant said, "Yeah, everyone carried a piece. Hardly a car ride was had without a shooting."

The plaintiffs allege that no coverage was given to their violent, drug-filled feuds 'because we were white.' Reached at his satanic mansion, somewhere in the middle of England, Jimmy Page said, "Yeah, it wash like that. I mean.. the 70s were a time of great violence in Rock. Plus we didn't have stupid names like 'Stallion', 'Weekend Chance' or 'Bieber'. I would have died of embarrassment if my manager said to call me Jimmy Thee Mare. First of all, it's spelled wrong, then a mare is female, which nobody seems to question. It's obviously race-fuelled."

All attempts to reach Jimi Hendrix have been futile.

TV is awash with commercials for stuff with beets. If you take the stuff, you'll feel better, more mentally awake, and your nostrils will be larger. Over the years, scientists have worked with beets, and discovered that the problem with beets is that they taste like beets. Yes, they give you all the benefits, but they remain fully adamant in tasting like beets. One product attempted to circumvent this issue by telling you their product has a nice cherry flavor. Or sawdust.

Strangely enough, a beet product appeared in my kitchen. The other day I seriously needed a boost (and to be honest, a little bit of nostril enlargement) Bravely, I put on my armor and mixed it with 8oz (17km Canadian) of water. In addition to all my other areas of impairment, I cannot tell what 8oz of water is. Might be a coffee cup, might be a gas tank. I went for a happy medium - a beer barrel. Cautiously I put it near my mouth... I was already up one(!)-it didn't smell. With a true sense of false bravado, I put some in my mouth. This was my second mistake. OMG, this shit tastes like beets!  Apparently the brand that appeared did not have the good grace to taste like something else. Even broccoli would have been fine. Brussels sprouts. Dog poop. GOOD LORD - BEETS!

I called in my Head Purchaser, who seemed surprised, even though she purchased it. This is the same purchaser who knows not to let cranberry come within 6 miles of my turkey. She put on her lead apron and tasted it. I gathered, from her rapid trip to the bathroom and resulting noises, she wasn't fond of it either (and she likes beets). She said it would be better in yogurt.

The following morning we had the Scientists in to do the Science. It turns out only 0.00061% of people like beets, and none of them are in North America. Or Earth. In fact, even food banks will refuse beets, as not even the hungry will take them, so they sit there, growing an odd, green fuzz, which eventually evolves the power to speak. If you don't like the flavor, you don't want to hear what they have to say.

So I tentatively dropped a spoonful of beet powder into my yogurt, with the promise that the purchaser would eat it if I didn't like it. Ok, I'm game. First we did some Science, bending down and presenting the powder to the dog. The dog was thrilled, wagged her tail like mad, took one sniff, then walked away. Have you ever seen a lemon face on a dog? It's not pretty. The scientists were aghast. Bouyed by the dog's input, I tried the yogurt. Within a second, I had taken up my purchaser's offer to eat it if I didn't like it, and placed it near her. She hasn't eaten it and I think it's about to say something. I understand not being able to camouflage it in water, but yogurt? I think it refuses to mix with anything out of spite. So you get crunchy yogurt, which might as well be Whizzo Assortment's Crunchy Frog. Even Clorox bleach wouldn't get the taste out of my mouth. So the Emergency Room Special Stomach Squad is on Standby, as is SWAT.

  • lefty the food critic samples Pineapple Crush soda:
  • lefty really enjoys Orange Crush. Even an occasional Grape Crush.
  • However, the Pineapple Crush is to be strenuously and arduously avoided. It is a tremendous soda to find yourself on the other side of the world from. Pineapple held the promise of Mt Dew, but dropped it clumsily. This is not a soda to sit and quench - it is a soda to fire from rocket-propelled grenade launchers at Iran.

Today I identify as  dust. 27 years of dust.

  • What's the greatest thing about watching pr0n at work?

Now that Halloween's over, we're past the Halloween Boobies stage (although I doubt I'll be past any stage that has to do with boobies). Many many years ago, at my previous blogging platform, I got a bit free-associated and wound up with Halloween boobies, or something like that. All of the sudden, the platform sprung up with a new owner, unbeknownst to the bloggers. He got on a chat with me and made it clear he was not amused with Halloween boobies and that I'd never appear on the front page until I typed about Tech Stuff<tm>, like a good little blogger. The other owner agreed, to a non-assholic extent. Mind you, this was the first time anybody had said anything about my content, so I was a bit flummoxed. In fact, I submitted a sample of my content when I requested the blog.

Although I could have comfortably remained, never hitting the front page, collecting actual advertising money now and then, having a lot of dedicated readers and pull from the platform, it really got to me. I have never taken to that kind of nonsense in my entire life, and wasn't about to start then. So I once again shot myself in the foot and came to Blogspot/Google to make my home. I like it here. It's a good place for bloggers with tons of holes in their foot.

I never told the story, but it's been long enough. I believe the prior platform is completely dead now (and good luck to them). It probably failed because I left (and other fairy tales). Chief lefty talk big for blog with 25 hits per day.

Back of Chief lefty head itches. Not aliens this time. Chief confused. Chief want to be flummoxed but can't use word til next full moon.

More Philly
The Philly DA mentioned the man who was shot by the police was in mental health crisis (while blaming Trump for it)..
Keeping in mind that I said non-lethal methods were called for, the man is claimed to have bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder does not make you wave knives at police, and is nothing more than slander on people who also have the disorder.

It's Review Time at work. Knowing where I work, it's probably mid-year review. They work on this bizarre concept of the employee doing the review, and the boss laughing deciding if it's correct. This is the 2nd review this month.

Reliability: lefty reliably frightens his coworkers
Communication: lefty never fails to communicate, mostly when he shouldn't.
Initiative: because some of his teammates are dead weight, whenever lefty does something, it looks like initiative. Some of them need to be awakened to clock out.
Thinking: lefty is a pro at out-of-the-box thinking. In fact, we keep trying to get him to think inside the box every now and then.
Overall Rating: Outstanding. It's outstanding that he manages to show up at 9 every day. Even weekends.
Team Status: we're referring to him as unofficial team leader, so we don't have to pay him any more.

Apparently, no one told her.....

We were off, visiting a cousin, in God's Country. A really sweet woman I wish I'd met sooner. I heard stories of her hospitality... she even sent food home sometimes. Mrs lefty is out walking Penny, and Cousin walks up to me with a bottle (vodka?) and a straw. Damn, that's hospitality. I felt bad, telling her I don't really drink. So I laid out a few lines thanked her and we chatted. Penny loves her house - she can look out the window and sometimes see deer. Penny stands on the back of the couch, looks out the picture window, and barks at the deer. During the few moments she's not barking, she looks like a statue of a dog somebody put on the window sill. Cousin has some physical difficulties, so when she walks Penny, Penny behaves. I've never seen this before.

Call for Service....

In this shitty economy, providing service is what can get you by.
Mrs lefty is goin visitin' again, and I need service.  Wait.. let me fix that... I need servicing... no, that's not it.. I could use somebody in the service industry. Screw it - I need a babysitter. I'm home with Penny, I'm not that demanding, and I can cook.

We're back to the Vice-Wife call. If the president cannot fulfill the duties of office, the vice president steps in. If my wife can't fulfill her duties of office, the vice wife can step in. I find this a perfectly good, sound legal concept. Naturally, my wife has a few questions. Someone has to entertain me when she's gone (and sometimes when she's home), hence vice wife. I thought it could be a low visibility effort, employing Sofia Vergara, Vanessa Hudgens, Linda Fiorentino, or the wife of our favorite pizza guy... I'm not picky.

Thus far, I have not gained assent on the part of my wife. She thought she'd be a smartass and get a vice husband. Fair is fair - I told her go ahead.... the only task I'm unwilling to fulfill is mowing the lawn. If he can take out the trash too, he's a hell of a service.

So Penny and I are alone for a few days. Unfortunately, Penny takes Mommy's absence very hard. She will literally stare out the front window, pining for her mommy, for days. Since it has done nothing but rain for the last week, I'll keep the shades closed - maybe she'll think the window went away. I want to activate the vice wife, per above, but haven't gotten the necessary legal paperwork signed, so it's just the dog, me, and a developing case of repetitive stress injury in my wrist. Hey - I've got it... do I have any attractive female blog readers? I will hire you to babysit. If Wife complains, I'll tell her there was a blog contest and you lost.

Of course I could sit and surf the Black Friday deals.
Yes, Black Friday.
I'm telling you - next year, Black Friday is the first Thursday after Valentine's Day.

In both a happy and the saddest news, New Zealand is allowing assisted dying for terminally ill people. It's the most humane thing to do. My only problem is 'allowing'. Why does the state have sovereignty over your body? We're all adults here, we can decide what we do with our bodies, what goes into them, and when we check out, right? Do we really need our governments having control of US?

Octopuses taste with their arms.
Big deal - I can juggle with my... never mind.

A dream since man could fly has been the flying car.
Considering how well we've done with auto-driven cars, I'd wait a bit longer...
Mind you, those would be some spectacular accidents clogging traffic on the way to work. People would have to get personal helicopters, just so they could rubberneck. Costs could be saved on ambulances, cuz you're not getting out of that crash alive. On the other hand, things would be worse if your parts fell on highways... talk about traffic....  "Route 95 is at a complete stop this morning due to a flying car crash. The crash was at 2,000' but the parts came down like rain. Some idiots in their cars have stopped and are looking up, in case anything else falls, while the rest of them are out of their cars, looking at the bits of airplane and bodies that have fallen on the road. Yes, I'd stay off 95 til at least next week. Meanwhile, the NTSB is examining the wreck and there is an additional traffic jam because it's being filmed for Aircraft Crash Investigation on the Discovery channel. The NTSB is out of their minds because people are taking selfies with body parts."

Flying AIDS News

Speaking of flying, Alaska Air is doing a buy 1 get 1 free sale. Other airlines say fare increases are coming. And naturally, studies can't agree on whether it's safer to fly or not, studying the flying Flying AIDS. I'd love to take a vacation; perhaps not to Alaska. If we were to fly out to somewhere nice and sunny, we'd just be taking our masks to a nicer place. No thanks.

How are Americans catching the virus? Increasingly, 'they have no idea.'
Once again, nobody has any idea. Seriously? 'Modern medicine'? Huge health organizations?

But let's get away from the election and the Flying AIDS: there were 21 trans candidates!(I lied). A swordsman in medieval clothing killed 2 in Quebec (so much for a friendlier country). And in an outcome nobody saw coming, a man was mauled by a leopard he paid to play with.  He learned his lesson and will never do that again - that leopard was huge and strong. Next week he'll be playing with a Black Widow spider.

The dog has become a tv critic. Whenever she jumps on the couch, she changes the channel. I don't blame her, so I moved the remote. Now if she'd just stop moving the mouse.. she makes the laptop do things I can't make it do.

I realize this is going to sound odd, but if that bothers you, you wouldn't be reading this blog... ransomware thieves are targeting hospital and healthcare facilities. Folks, can't you stay out of the places where you can cause death? You've already killed one woman in Germany - why do you need to raise the stats? It's not reasonable for us to suggest you stop completely, but it could be your mother in the emergency room, being turned away because of ransomware. That's how the woman in Germany died.

  • Former Google CEO calls social networks 'amplifiers for idiots'.

Today I identify as  a busy bartender, with the Flying AIDS

Actually, I identify as a person who is still sick.

I somehow managed to get an appointment with the doctor, instead of the person who sets up his office furniture. After a lot of phone calls, waiting, and reading 50 books on how to satisfy a woman, I got all set up.  A turkey baster.... I had no idea...

So it's 45 minutes after appointment time, and no doctor. I call the office, which just let me know I'm 9th in line to speak to what passes as a real person. Every 5 seconds, their sophisticated phone system tells me I am still 9th in line.

You know, I'm kinda tired. It's a good thing I don't have anything fatal, or I might slip away, just trying to get some help. Even though we ascertained I don't have the Flying AIDS, I still have a fever, which means I can't come into the doctor's office. Because, you know, we can't have any sick people in the doctor's office. The next time I have an appointment, I'll tell them I can't come in because I'm sick.

I know for a fact that we have a pretty good medical system. I just wonder where it went on vacation and if it's wearing a mask.

Give Blood

It wasn't entirely by choice... the doctor ordered a lot of tests. In fact, when I saw the list of tests, I asked if I'd have enough blood to go back to work. I suspect some of the values were off, due to the extremely alarmed looks on the blood tech. They don't normally pee in their scrubs, do they?

I brought Mrs lefty along because she said we never spend any quality time together.  The last time I got results, someone suggested we order an ambulance.

When the doc says you need tests, you say "ok" and go get them. You tend to miss small stuff, like 'fast for 12 hours' or 'you'll need to drop off some urine.' There are two distinct reactions to this: the first is that you will NOT be able to produce a drop of urine because you're supposed to. The second is that you pee. Most of my relatives are in the first group. The key here is to shake your head whenever they ask you a question. "Have you fasted for 12 hours?" [head shake]. "Can you fill this up?" [head shake or ask 'from here?'].

Having managed to produce some of the yellow gold, I took one look at the container, before trying to give it to random old ladies who were walking around, and said, "A-HA! This is the problem. Look at that color!" Then I quickly realized I have never seen my urine in a specimen cup so I have no idea what color it's supposed to be. I figure that as long as it's in the General Urine Color Spectrum<tm>, I'm ok. So, lacking any blue or green, I figured I'd just allow the professionals to take care of things... I'm good that way...

Vampire Bob, or the Blood Taker, was very nice, in spite of that odd look in his eye (the good one).  He said I'd only feel a pinch - I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be on my butt. He told me I'd have no blood left, so a high-sugar, high-fat breakfast was essential. I'm just happy I didn't pass out, like the last 12 times. Turns out they like you to tell them this before they stick you. Note: the stools are further from the ground, so it's much farther to fall.

I'm sure my doctor, or his interior decorator, will call me back with the results. My results. Any results. His bloody t-shirt did little to calm my fears, but he sure sounded eager.

Russian interference in the election continues, as Vladimir Putin, Ruler for Life, touts a second unproven Flying AIDS vaccine. One must admit that it's much easier to get vaccines approved when you're Ruler for Life. If you're merely president, there's so much bribing of regulatory agencies to be overseen.

What makes Putin's vaccines so interesting is their delivery system. No one ever sees them going in and no one notices, til the body turns up (radioactive).

As far as the doctor's office is concerned, all is well.

As far as Mrs lefty and I are concerned, this is an unholy waste of time.

Hey, if the Flying AIDS has hurt your financial prospects, re-invent yourself. This is the 20s - be creative - fill a need. The nation needs people to create Video Spaces. These are the clean, clear, well-lit spaces people need when they have video conferences with others. They make other people think they live in a clean, clear, well-lit space; while the truth is there's a crew from Hoarders on their way out. Think about it....

Fortunately I don't have to video conference. If my boss ever asks, I tell him the entire area is full of things people would find offensive, and I wouldn't want to offend anyone. He knows me well, so I don't have to video conference.

And speaking of the Flying AIDS, all the 'experts' have decided to get together to make this a happier, healthier, and more intelligent world. The World Health Organization/UN says the Flying AIDS could spread through airborne particles that can remain suspended in the air and travel beyond six feet. The CDC has previously said the virus mainly spreads from person to person through respiratory droplets when a sick person coughs, sneezes or talks. Except for a statement 'posted in error' that said ... something or other.... forgot about airborne transfer... virus spreads through air, travels beyond 6 feet.... Monday is a bad day to change things, especially if people are watching.

Got that?

We know I don't get out much, but when I do, I see everyone walking around with masks inside and it bothers me to the depths of my soul. Not that they're wearing masks-I am too. Just that we're where we are. Usually this kind of reaction means something...

All passengers on Epstein's flight logs to be named 'sparking panic among rich pals'. The Attorney General for the US Virgin Islands is demanding them. Las Vegas oddsmakers expect the Attorney General to 'commit suicide' on the day of delivery.

In other news, China is making all sorts of claims, including an attack on a US base, showing clips from Hollywood action movies. Most countries agree it's bad form to bomb China, but we have a secret weapon: the Motion Picture Association of America. As soon as it finds out China is violating copyrights, it will immediately issue a stack of injunctions, then sue China into non-existence. Let the lawyers do what the stealth bombers can't.

Relationships have many stages, especially long-term relationships. I'm still trying to figure out which stage we're in. Last week she looks at me and says, "You look gray." Alrighty then... it's probably not my age, so...

Last night she looked at me and said, "It looks like somebody punched you in the eye." Show me the person who says romance is dead... and I'll beat them over the head with a baseball bat.

RANT

We have had occasion to rent cars over the past few years. Every one of them has sucked, especially the most recent, a Toyota Corolla, apparently considered midsize. It's small, plastic, and gives no confidence in its ability to continue being a car. Some of my rant comes from growing up with Real Cars<tm>, which normal people call Land Yachts. All of the sudden, cars got horribly small, because of gas prices. However, no one at all made a large car - large was still pretty damn small. The SUVs are large-ish, but carry less than the old station wagons. If these gas-hogging vehicles are so damn popular, why not a large car still? It's funny to note our ancient Hyundai, our first small car (which everyone still says is large) is far superior to any rental we've had. They keep getting smaller, using more plastic, and riding like crap. All we really want is a large car with great ride. Mrs lefty has all sorts of back problems, so comfort is important. The final word on the Toyota is 'it rides like shit' and 'even the steering wheel is too small.'

The reissue of the super sportsters, like the Camaro and Challenger, proves there's a market for large cars. They don't even have to make them muscle cars. Nostalgia is something on which to capitalize - the guitar market is full of it.

Pickle Green Houses

If you're feeling down because you've run out of toxic substances to ingest to kill the Flying AIDS, not to worry; the Food and Drug Administration is finding methanol (poisonous) in many hand sanitizers. That's a real load off my mind.

Your love is like a pickaxe to the eye.

States are running out of doctors and nurses as the Flying AIDS surges.
Well, what do you expect? They're so damn tasty.

Trumpie is after social media sites for anti-conservative bias and has submitted his complaint to the FCC. The FCC's tentative response is, "Huh? WTF you want us to do? We're only here to give away frequency spectrum to large corporations and industries."

Sorry, Donald. Although even infants can see the anti-conservative bias, you can't regulate the speech of private entities. You'd do better to go after whatever is pushing all social media to display the bias (but we can't have that).

Speaking of which, Twitter suspended Trump, Jr for 'misinformation'. If science hasn't figured the Flying AIDS out yet, how can his speech be misinformation? I smell agenda....

Virgin Galactic is going to launch people into space. Unfortunately, it will also bring them back. Some of us can save the outrageous cost because we're already out there.

Medical Science Does it Again

Researchers at the University of York traced the source of underarm odor to a particular enzyme in a certain microbe that lives in the human armpit.  Microbes? In my armpits? If they transfer the microbe to your nose, your nose will smell.

Two theoretical physicists specializing in complex systems conclude that global deforestation due to human activities is on track to trigger the "irreversible collapse" of human civilization within the next two to four decades.   Guys... you don't need a serious degree or even much school to see this coming. Have you read Twitter or Faceyspaces lately? Been in Seattle? That ship has sailed.

I'm watching my British tv again. There was a commercial for ice cream that references Cornish something or other. I know there are a ton of accents, Scottish and Wales-ish are among the most difficult to understand. But this commercial had 3 people saying 'things', then the name of the ice cream. I got the name, but the rest was an absolute blob. The mind wants to classify things, but there was no reference for this- it was just a jumbled mess. I suggested we talk to some professorial type expert in ancient languages, only found on pillars and pottery, perhaps pre-Egyptian, where everybody had pointed heads and men wore eye shadow, like Spock.

I told Mrs lefty that I just saved her hundreds of dollars. She remains unimpressed and suggested something anatomically impossible.

So about the Amazon/Goog devices you put in your house to spy on you?
A scientific paper is about to be released, which details a frightening amount of skills/actions without a privacy policy.  I'm going to keep banging away at this (because it feels so good when the pain stops).

Told You So

You're gonna be shocked... the goog is being sued for collecting your private information in Chrome, even though you opted not to. As Chrome is the #1 browser, you should really drop it.

If you're on Twitter, Kaspersky has settings for maximum privacy.
I'd avoid the suggestion about low value tweets, though. You don't need Twitter's 'help' plus you can blacklist anything you don't like.

I got caught in a YouTube rabbit hole. The best thing I found is this one, a mashup of guys reacting to Stevie Ray Vaughan.  There's hope for us yet.

I learned stuff today.
Well, not so much learned, as reinforced. My front doorknob was so hot, you could fry a hippopotamus on it. As I was taking trash out, a hedge trimmer fell on my foot. I know, I know... you can't swing a dead Ford without hedge trimmers falling on you, so why complain?  On the positive side, I don't believe Idiot Governor or Idiot Mayor require masks to take out the trash.

So what got reinforced? Don't leave the house.

If you think your job is tough, my employer put together a committee to figure out how to make the icons the same color in every department.

One of our local outdoor concert venues canceled its schedule for the year.
This was quickly followed by uncanceling its schedule. I'm trying to figure out how they socially distance... 6' is about 12 concert seats, so there will only be 3 people in each row. Tedeschi Trucks is coming and shouldn't be missed.

The local news showed state police enforcing distancing regulations at downtown bars. I'm sorry, but I have to put my foot down: the staties have many more important things to do than enforce distancing. Do they even have jurisdiction? Did the female patrons appreciate their shorts?

Best Headline: Two men arrested after police officers find nothing suspicious on plane.

Strange Headline: Coronavirus: Will women have to work harder after the pandemic? Women often say they have to work harder to prove themselves than men - will Covid-19 turn back the clock for women's careers?  Will green be a different shade? Will tires still be round? Can we continue to call them black?

Remdesivir may work even better against COVID than we thought.
As we thought it didn't work, it would have to work better.
No clue.

Will Someone Stop that Mountain from Growling

It's brown, with a tinge of green outside today.
Perhaps if we painted sun on the blinds....

Ford employees asked the company to stop making police cars.
Ford has a African Ancestry Network (FAAN).
Employees want some kind of action by July 15th. They have clarified that sales of cars to mall cops are ok, provided they are used in malls.
Employees have also demanded..

  • a new cafeteria - a nice one, with free food and pet-sitting
  • a new hiring package with bonus, retroactive
  • reparations for black employees
  • management donates half their salaries to BLM
  • giving each employee a Chevy
  • an end to world poverty
  • paid time off for rioting protesting locally

In the Flying AIDS parade, grocery stores are now closed at night. Why? Does the Flying AIDS attack only at night? No, it's so stores can clean. Weren't stores cleaning before this bright order? Of course they were. Let me know when this starts making sense, ok?

The European hamster was added to the 'critically endangered' list.

While it's raining, I can't help but notice the very loud construction equipment, just outside my window. Somebody told someone you can dig to China and they're probably taking it seriously. It's a nice neighborhood. Weird, but nice.
