The U.S. and Russian military will be engaging in an anti-terrorism
exercise that will involve Russian paratroopers using U.S. weapons to
“take and hold” the main facilities of the CIA and Denver International
Airport in Colorado and the National Security Agency in Utah.
So, we have foreign (some would say enemy) troops on US soil that are going to take over CIA, NSA, and state buildings. All this during an anti-terrorism exercise.
Does it have to be spelled out to you any further?
This is practice. A warm-up.

Aww, c'mon... the Russians were never our enemies. They were are global partner in the military-industrial complex. Together we've made trillions! War is profitable, regardless of whose war it is.
